More...Top choice for St Agatha’s first video
When St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School in Kingston upon Thames wanted to create its first promotional video, Communitas was its top choice.
‘Videography is just one of many communication services we offer our clients. We have created a number of videos for schools ranging from primary to academies including Mayesbrook Park School and Longdean Sixth Form. These films have proved successful in helping raise awareness of what the schools offer and increasing the uptake of places,’ explains Ken Stevens, Communitas’ Director.
One of 30 schools in the borough and five within the local area, St Agatha’s was keen to showcase its offer to prospective parents and ensure it made their shortlist. ‘St Agatha’s challenged us to develop a video narrative that incorporated its key messages and dispelled any misconceptions about the school’s Catholic background,’ Ken explains.
Following the school’s brief, Communitas filmed and edited the pupil-led video, featuring children in class and at play and staff, parent and pupil voiceovers to reinforce its key messages of inclusivity, family-focus, high teaching standards and great resources. Drone shots were used to highlight the school’s off-street, green location, which provides a safe learning environment for its pupils. The video’s end card gives contact details and invites parents to find out more and/or visit the school. The result is an engaging and lively video that clearly communicates the school’s values – inspiring, nurturing and collaborative – to parents, staff and pupils.
