The brief

Wandle Teaching School Alliance is a collaboration of 40+ schools providing training for teachers in boroughs across London at all stages of their career. The Alliance also comprises a Maths Hub, English Hub and Early Years Hub. Communitas was commissioned to undertake a strategic marketing and communications review and then to recommend a marketing strategy to ensure that courses and events are consistently full.

Our response

We recommended and implemented a CRM system, linked to the Alliance’s website. This has allowed for detailed segmentation of contacts for targeted email marketing, tailored to their job and particular areas of subject or other school interest. Alongside this we provide advice and management of social media marketing, highlighting upcoming events and live-tweeting from creating contents from courses and events as they happen. 

Our emails have consistently achieved open rates of 30%+ (against a sector average of 21% for education and training emails) and click throughs of 6.5% (sector average is 2.48%). We increased the Alliance’s social media following by more than 50 per cent in the first four months of the contract and achieved engagement rates of over 3 per cent.

My experience of working with Communitas has always been extremely positive. Whether it is assisting us with designing our marketing materials or creating and maintaining our now much more visually engaging and user-friendly website, the Team are always on hand to offer great professional advice and support.
