Integrated school marketing campaign combines bus advertising, outdoor media and digital promotion to help schools attract prospective families

Communitas has launched a high-profile school admissions marketing campaign across Croydon, London on behalf of Wandle Learning Trust, promoting three of the Trust’s schools to prospective parents ahead of the 2027 admissions cycle.

The integrated campaign brings together bus rear advertising, roadside posters, digital marketing and dedicated website content to raise awareness of the schools and encourage families to attend open events and explore their admissions options.

Working closely with the three schools, Communitas developed the creative concept, campaign messaging and artwork before managing the media planning and production across multiple outdoor advertising locations throughout Croydon.

The campaign features:

  • Bus rear advertising across key routes in Croydon.
  • Large-format outdoor posters in high-footfall locations.
  • A dedicated campaign landing page on the Wandle Learning Trust website.
  • Direct links to individual school websites and open event information.
  • Campaign messaging designed to strengthen awareness of the Trust’s family of schools while highlighting the unique strengths of each individual school.

The campaign promotes Kensington Avenue Primary School, Norbury High School for Girls and Paxton Academy, providing each school with its own distinctive presence while reinforcing the wider Trust brand.

As part of the project, Communitas also worked with the Trust to ensure the campaign could be effectively measured, including website traffic monitoring and recommendations for tracking enquiries generated through the outdoor advertising.

Why strategic education marketing matters

Ken Stevens, Director at Communitas, said:

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions families make, so it’s essential that schools stand out and communicate what makes them special. Outdoor advertising remains an incredibly powerful way of reaching local communities, particularly when it’s supported by strong digital content and clear calls to action.

This campaign demonstrates how a coordinated marketing strategy can raise the profile of individual schools while strengthening awareness of the Trust as a whole.
