Communitas managed and delivered the brand identity, website, uniform and a signage audit for the Bristol Brunel Academy.
We offered strategic media relations advice for the official launch – a high profile event on September 6 this year attended by the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for the Department for Children, Families and Schools.
The event achieved coverage across the national press (Times, Telegraph, Mail, Mirror, Bristol Evening Post, Bristol Observer), broadcast (BBC Breakfast News) and online (E-Gov Monitor, BBC online, PFI News).
We also offered a number of creative solutions to maximise positive coverage and engage stakeholders into the ethos of the new Academy.
We were tasked with helping to communicate and develop the Academy ethos of the Brunel Way and to instill the Brunel Way as part of daily school life and its ethos, encouraging and inspiring students’ learning and development. We suggested two creative solutions for the schools – one focused on art, ICT and Design, the other on a behavioural incentive scheme.
Communitas supported the school and provided a multi-media solution to a series of parents’ evenings.
We devised a community relations strategy which shared information with the local community in an accessible style and format, promoting facilities such as the ‘Leisure Box’ which the local community can use and promoting opportunities for Lifelong Learning. Walking tours are offered, as well as community days for local people, parents evening are held regularly and we have devised a separate ‘community’ area on the school’s website.
